Heaven, I Want to Go There!
Heaven, I Want to Go There!
Where are you going? I don’t mean later today or tomorrow. Where are you going for eternity? Near the end of the book of Revelation John wrote about the future home of the saved: “1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:1-4)
Consider such a wonderful place! God Himself will dwell with those who are there. Note John saw that “God Himself will be among them”. God Himself wants to be with His people for eternity. I want to be where God is!
Also, note that God Himself will wipe away all their tears. God will comfort and remove every tear figuratively with his own hand. Imagine the finger of God wiping away any tears that you have. There is a lot in this world that causes tears and sorrow, but not in heaven. God will wipe away EVERY tear. I want to have no more tears! I want to go there!
Imagine a place where there will be no death, mourning, crying or pain! I want to go there! I want to dwell with God! “…Come, Lord Jesus.” (Revelation 22:20)
